Systematic Literature Review:
A collection of 335 papers published from 1998 to 2022 on the National Science Foundation Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) were reviewed and sorted into categories of interest. Areas included the target populations of the S-STEM program, the programs offered by the S-STEM, and where the work was disseminated. A review of the findings of this Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and a cleaned SLR data set can be found at the link below. A full version of the SLR data set can be requested from the ROPES Hub Points of Contact.
Research Briefs:
A series of research briefs centered on peer-reviewed studies exploring the experiences, challenges, and support systems for low-income students in engineering and computer science programs. These briefs emphasize the interplay of financial, academic, and social factors affecting student success, while examining systemic barriers and highlighting effective strategies for support. Each brief outlines the topic, summarizes key findings, and offers practical insights, providing practitioners with concise, accessible, and actionable takeaways from the research.
